About Chloe
Hello TBE community! My name is Chloe Epstein and I am excited to become a bat mitzvah. One thing to know about me is I love camp. I go to Camp Micah and have been going there for five summers. It is my favorite place. I love being with my friends and I feel happy when I am there. This is something I have in common with my brother, who I am sharing my b’nei mitzvah with. We both love Camp Micah. My family is my parents, my brother, and me. I am the youngest and the most athletic person in the family. I go to the Carroll School. My favorite subject is math. Becoming a bat mitzvah means I will be an adult in the eyes of the community. This means I will be able to participate as a leader. For my Ma’asim Tovim project I volunteered at Newbridge and Cradles for Crayons. Both were good experiences and I like having the opportunity to help in our community.
About Jacob
Hi to everyone reading this! I am Jacob Epstein. I’ve been a member of the TBE community since attending preschool at Gan Elohim. I am interested in European history, and I am especially curious about monarchies and military history. This summer, I was lucky enough to go to Italy and learn about the Medici family and how they shaped Florentine history. I also like the architecture of European cities. My family is my sister Chloe, with whom I am sharing my b’nei mitzvah, and my parents. Even though we are sharing our b’mitzvah I am about a year and a half older than my sister. I go to The Rashi School and I like studying social studies best. I find social studies interesting because it contains history and civics. I have worked hard to prepare for my b’mitzvah and while it wasn’t always easy, I feel a sense of accomplishment. For my Ma’asim Tovim project I have enjoyed volunteering at Newbridge and Cradles to Crayons. Additionally, at school, I have had a lot of opportunities to participate in projects where I’ve learned about organizations that help people and had a chance to both volunteer and donate to support those organizations.
